Mad Professor is a legendary dub producer and engineer, best known for founding Ariwa Sounds, the influential UK‑based label and studio. Celebrating its 45th anniversary, Ariwa has been a driving force in reggae and dub, pioneering a futuristic, electronic‑infused sound. Since the late 1970s, Mad Professor has worked with icons like Lee "Scratch" Perry, U‑Roy, Macka B, and Sandra Cross, shaping the evolution of modern reggae. His Dub Me Crazy series and genre‑spanning collaborations—including remixing Massive Attack—have cemented his reputation as a master of the mixing desk. Four and a half decades on, Mad Professor and Ariwa continue to push dub music into new and exciting territories.
