RISE UP
CHAMPIONING CARIBBEAN TALENT FOR THE GLOBAL STAGE

Launched in 2021, City Splash has grown into the world’s largest one-day celebration of Caribbean and African music, food and culture. Each year, over 30,000 people come together to experience the sounds of more than 60 international and UK-based artists. In 2024, we introduced Rise Up — a dynamic new platform supporting outstanding emerging artists from the Caribbean.
Now entering its second year, the Rise Up programme is designed to spotlight and nurture the next generation of talent. Taking place in both London and the Caribbean, the initiative offers selected artists a one-week creative residency that includes:
A performance at City Splash Festival
A songwriter camp with leading producers and musicians
Media exposure, including interviews with radio and press
Performance opportunities at key music industry events like SXSW London
Professional development workshops
A wrap-up film capturing each artist’s journey on the programme
The 2025 Rise Up cohort features six exceptional artists pushing the boundaries of Caribbean music and culture:
Jaz Elise – Multi-talented artist from Kingston, Jamaica
Nesta – Alternative reggae artist from New York with Jamaican roots
Ras-I – Roots reggae musician from Kingston, Jamaica
Runkus – One of Kingston’s most exciting young voices
elevatetoday – Reggae artist born in Jamaica, raised in Manchester
Savannah Dumetz – Soulful singer-songwriter from South London, of Jamaican heritage
With Caribbean music deeply woven into the cultural fabric of London, Rise Up amplifies voices that are shaping the sound of tomorrow.
